The I-40/Country Club Drive traffic interchange frequently experiences high volumes of traffic during peak hours. One solution to this problem is to construct an additional right-turn lane to enter I-40 westbound. In addition to this turn lane, it has also been proposed to add a second merge lane to the I-40 westbound on-ramp.
